Oh wait and one last thing, about you arguing for AI teammates in other realistic shooters and whatnot. Just a whole lot of nope from me coming from someone who plays Rising Storm 2: Vietnam and as someone who also plays Star Wars Battlefront II (2017) Interjecting 3rd person infantry mechanics into this would just further screw up the infantry experience and would lead to a lot of folks trying to exploit this new 3rd person view. Especially at a time like right now when this development time needs to be put towards making the game and it’s mechanics much better. And interjecting all these work arounds like teammates spotting enemies exploiting the 3rd person view and whatnot is just interjecting more complications than are needed. But this game has a “realistic” damage model and mechanics that are easily exploitable in a 3rd person view. So I understand why the 3rd person camera is appealing to you. As again, I play BF2 (2017) DAILY and solely in 3rd person. But god no not for infantry.Įdit: Also again, don’t get me wrong I see where you’re coming from and the appeal of what a 3rd person camera could look like for infantry. I’m a huge max heavy main myself but I would NEVER want a third person camera for infantry units in this game. You need to keep in mind what this game is trying to be rather than trying to overlay ideas from completely different shooters into this one.ĭon’t get me wrong tho, I love me some Third Person shooters.

It’s built from the ground up as such and interjecting Third Person mechanics into this first person shooter is just disaster waiting to happen. This game is quite literally meant to be a REALISTIC FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. U/F8rge are you willing to have a dialogue over this subject? Giving us first person POV for commando will make some people very happy.Well this game isn’t a TPS. Also I do believe it would be very simple to add first person for Iden since it is done in the singleplayer already,

So keep on making these posts because I really want it :p Perhaps Dice can just switch to slapping the first person camera onto the face of the third person model like what PUBG does, but that might look sloppy. If the players want it Dice needs to know that they are a substantial percent of the player base. Adding first person perspective will take away more resources, and we know recourses are very scarce. I think this is also why so many fps does not show your feet when you look down. This means every animation has to be made twice. In Battlefield and most other FPS games, the first person model, also known as viewmodel, is made separately from the third person model.

First person POV is my #1 most wanted feature, but I want to give an idea for why Dice haven’t added first person for heroes and reinforcements yet.
